I have been blessed with several and Zachariah Wilson Chandler is no exception. Zach was named after my great uncle Zach and my grandson Wilson. Zach came to me from Jim & Maxine Fulks of Coyote Kennels in Eugene - fine people who raise and train fine hunting labs. Zach proved his worth as he did not even flinch when not one but two rabbits jumped into his path as he pursued a high speed winged rooster - catching and retrieving the bird some 300 yards out. On another occasion he never questioned when I sent him across deep water to retrieve a rooster he did not see fall. Nor did he complain when I hunted him hard all day as we filled a mixed bag of roosters, Sharptail and Huns. Hunting would be of little joy to me if it weren't for the company of a good dog… thanks Zach for being that GOOD DOG... One more thing; when I attempted to hook up my Mobile Manner in Augusta, Montana the crank handle simply spun around, the trailer would not go up or down. I drove down to the service station where they loaned me a high lift jack. Once the trailer was hooked up it was necessary to remove the old jack as it was stuck in the down position. Of course all of the bolts but one would come out. I limped back to the station pulling the house. The owner came out and removed the stubborn bolt. When I asked what I owed him he said “nothing”. I did give him a stipend which was far short of his courtesy. This is the kind of service we remember and the same philosophy we attempt to display at TruckVault. Good Hunting,
