Dear
Fellow Sportsman,
It was 3:30 in the afternoon when I left the office and stopped
at my house to hook up the boat. I grabbed a sack of snacks from the kitchen and
two Cokes. Silver salmon are in the Skagit River, and I was in the mood to catch
a couple.
Happy and I launched the boat and headed upstream past the Steelhead
Club where we planned to drift and work a great run. We had made three drifts
and runs when my cell phone rang. My significant other was calling from the house
and she was noticeably upset. Someone had broken in and ransacked the place. This
all happened in less than one hour after I was there and in broad daylight. The
vandals had dumped a jewelry box on the bed and grabbed a
number
of pieces. They found and took a collection of
two dollar bills and all the Sacajawea and old silver half dollars saved over
many years. They also took the play station and many of the kid’s CD’s
and used a gym bag to haul all the loot. I ended my fishing and promptly headed
home.
The
first thing I checked was the BedVault under our bed. It was intact, and the guns
and other valuables held within were safe as could be. Most likely, none of the
goods will be recovered. The value of the items taken are one thing, but the sentiment
attributed to the jewelry items is another. At least we did not send the thieves
down the road armed with our personal firearms. I now have even a greater appreciation
for the products we build. Usually I hear these stories from others.
TruckVault
security and storage have been combined with BedSlide technology to address the
needs of a customer who is an avid sport shooter with severe back problems. His
F-350 long bed now incorporates our full size, standard height Suburban vault
mounted on a BedSlide in the pickup bed. The TruckVault securely stores his guns
and supplies, and the BedSlide allows him to easily access
equipment
placed on top without having to crawl inside the bed.
Don’t
forget to order your TruckVault Christmas gift early for delivery before
the holiday. The gift of security and safety is always appreciated.
